DESIGN & TECHNOLOGY
The highest quality product with the greatest technical support

Weldless

  • This injection technology enhances the quality of parts and manufactures high gloss products by preventing the issues (Weldline, Flowmark) that occur when forming the injection from heating the core on the exterior of parts at 120~250.
  • We have developed three different technologies such as "steam method", "hydrothermal method", and "electric scheme." The early developed "steam method" and "hypothermal method" were expanded since they embodied excellent quality of surface like ABS resin. "However, these two methods have high operating cost and low heating temperature (below 130~150). Especially, these methods use the steam with high temperature and high pressure or sealing the hypothermal which always contains safety issues and they are increasingly being excluded on new program applications.
  • An alternative is "Heat&Cool technology" which can adjust the mold temperature rapidly for every cycle and it injects the weldless high gloss plastic products. This technology is being spotlighted in injection business.

Advanced application – High gloss product production

Manufactures the high gloss products by preventing the occurrence of weld line

Advanced application – Uses resin that contains GF and Pearl

Using the resin that contains GF or Pearl can improve the quality on the surface compared to the general mold.

ABS + Metallic pearl : Mold temperature : 220C → Remove metal flow mark

PC + GF + pearl : Mold temperature : 200C → Remove GF and pearl flow mark

PA + GF 50% : Mold temperature : 220C → Remove GF flow mark

Classification Steam/hypothermal method
(Low temperature heating)
Electric heating method
(High temperature heating)
Advantages
  • Applies a high gloss weldless condition for the first time.
  • The process is cost-efficient to new tooling programs.
  • Suitable for high temperature molding that is over 200C which has no limitations on heating the temperature.
  • The Heat & Cool process performs at high temperature which is simple and safe since it uses the cooling formed from coolant and heating generated by the electric heater.
Disadvantages
  • Limited temperature on mold from using the hypothermal or steam that is at around 165~180.
  • Maintenance is difficult for a variety of circumstances. Safety is one issue.
  • This technology has higher cost for mass production parts.
  • The appropriate design and optimum heating period depend on the size of mold. The larger the mold a larger heater required.
  • Relatively complicated mold structure and manufacturing cost are required.
  • Detachable mold method is required to have separate patent cost when manufacturing the mold.

Heat & Cool System

This latest Heat & Cool technology uses control device and doesn't require additional patent cost on manufacturing the mold since we have improved the efficiency of cooling by removing the essential issues like design restrictions which is the critical disadvantages of the current "Detachment mold electric scheme." This is our unique patented process.

Steam

Steam injection (Steam-Molding) method uses steam to heat and cold water to cool. It rapidly heats the mold at over 120C with steam and then rapidly cools to obtain the high gloss surface without performing the post process like painting or plating.
